Te Wiki o Te Reo Week 

This week around NZ is a special week were we as a nation get together and focus on pronunciation of our maori language.

Room 35 have been focusing on:

numbers 
e.g. rua tekau ma tahi (21)

days of week 
e.g. Raapa (Wednesday)

months
e.g. Hongongoi (July)
country place names

e.g. Hastings (Heretaunga)

greetings / sayings 
e.g. Ka mau te wehi (Awesome)
e.g. Ata Marie & Morena (Good Morning)

mihi (cultural identity)
e.g. mountain / river / tribe / waka / family 

phrases and words of the day
e.g. Tu Meke - (fabulous)

also maori designs and patterns (what they mean)
